How to achieve grade A in GCSE maths?

This is an elite class aimed at students who want to achieve grades 7, 8 or 9 in their final GCSE maths exams.
The students who are admitted to this group must be dedicated and have or are willing to develop a winning mindset.
Entry requirements:
Year 11 students
- Must be taking the Higher exam paper.
- Predicted to achieve at least a grade 6
- Must be willing to do all homework that is set, no excuses.
Year 10 students
- Must be in one of the Higher set classes
- Must be willing to do all homework that is set, no excuses
Year 9 students
- Must be in one of the Higher set classes. If not streamed as yet, the student must have performed well at Key stage 3
- Proficient in times tables
- Must be willing to do all homework that is set, no excuses.
The Classes
These classes are only online.
Students will be split into small groups.
Class sessions will last between 70 mins & 90 mins and will cover the major topics of the curriculum. After each session, homework will be set. The homework will be designed to consolidate the theory learned in class sessions.
For each topic we will be tackling the most difficult questions that grade 7, 8 or 9 students are expected to perform successfully.
Study Material
Over the duration of the course, there will be compulsory books and predicted exam papers that need to be purchased.
There will be worksheets used in class session and for homework that will be either free of charge or a nominal fee.
Equipment Required
- A laptop or desktop computer (computer tablets are not compatible).
- Broadband
- Microphone
- Headphones (optional)<l/i>
- Webcam or built-in camera (not essential)
- Mouse or Graphics Tablet. (include link)
- An email address
- Standard browser, preferably Google Chrome
- Scientific calculator (casio fx-85gtx)
- A4 lined or squared paper
- A4 Folder
Fees and start dates
The fee per student is £40 (year 11) or £30 per session. A session lasts for 90 minutes (year 11) or 70 minutes.
Fees are to be paid monthly or termly. If students miss sessions, there will be no credits or refunds unless the student has a genuine serious illness.
The start dates will be the 9th and 10th of September 2024.
